Bodypainting represents a new direction and I'm very excited about it. Painting on people adds a completely different dimension to the experience of being an artist. The canvas is alive, the art temporary and the possibilities are endless. AND, people love to be painted. I use hypo-allergenic Mehron body paints which wash off with soap, water and moderate scrubbing. They even have a nice scent. The paint dries in minutes and will not rub off immediately. The action of clothing rubbing on the painting will erase it over time. But with care the image could be kept for 2 or three days. Time involved can be from 30 minutes for a small design to several hours for a full body. Two hours is about average for a medium design or full sleeve. Body Painting is a perfect alternative to getting a genuine tattoo, especially when you want something temporary for a special event or an evening out.
